Delivery times vary depending on the destination country:

  • Delivery times range from 2 to 6 days, with next-day delivery to major European economic centers.
  • Precise delivery times (Day Definite) are calculated between the sender's and recipient's postal codes and are provided as estimates. Try our Delivery Time Calculator.
  • Delivery times are indicative and expressed in business days, from mainland France.

PACKAGE PICKUP

Chronopost handles your parcels from Monday to Saturday morning.
Several solutions are available for professionals:

  • Scheduled regular collection or on-demand pickup; the courier picks up the parcels from your premises.
  • Saturday collection upon request.
  • Drop off parcels at a post office, Chronopost agency, or Pickup point (except Prêt-à-Expédier).

PLACE AND HOLDING TIME

If the recipient is absent during the first delivery attempt and the second delivery attempt, your parcel will be held at the local facility for 8 to 10 days, depending on the destination country.

  • On-demand pickup

    Chronopost offers the option to schedule an on-demand pickup. You choose the location and time!
    Log in to your account at www.chronopost.fr and select your preferred time slot.

     

     

  • Ad Valorem insurance

    You can purchase insurance to cover the value of the goods transported up to €5,000 per parcel in case of loss or material damage, including force majeure, upon presentation of supporting documents (insurance tiers: €500 - €1,000 - €2,000 - €5,000). Insurance does not cover goods and documents subject to handling restrictions, fault of the sender or recipient, inherent defects, or insufficient packaging.

    For professional clients with a contract with Chronopost, the compensation limit can be increased to €20,000 per parcel.

  • Predict 

    With the Predict service, your recipient—whether an individual, professional, or business—can reschedule their delivery to another day or choose a different location, ensuring they never miss the delivery of their parcel!

  • Saturday delivery

    You can request Saturday delivery before 10 AM in mainland France for parcels entrusted on Friday or Thursday if Friday is a holiday.

Customs clearance fees may apply (VAT, customs duties, import duties, other taxes, and customs services). These fees are paid by the recipient at the time of delivery.

In general, the following items cannot be accepted:

  • Goods regulated by national and international regulations on hazardous materials, including, but not limited to, ammunition, gases, flammable, radioactive, toxic, infectious, or corrosive substances, as well as any items that, due to their nature or packaging, could pose a risk to handling personnel, the environment, transport safety, or damage other parcels, vehicles, or third parties.

  • Jewelry, watches, precious stones and metals, currencies, banknotes, financial or valuable assets, payment instruments, debt securities, gift vouchers, phone cards or equivalents, and generally any paper document or other medium used for fungible payments and/or subject to funds transport regulations.

  • Animals or living or deceased beings, plants, temperature-sensitive goods, perishable products or foodstuffs, biological or blood samples, organs, and any excise goods in suspension of duties.

  • All types of weapons, narcotics, psychotropic substances, artworks, art objects, antiques, collectibles, publications, or audiovisual materials prohibited by any applicable law or regulation.

  • Responses to tenders, pre-qualification documents for market allocations, application dossiers, and exam copies, as well as any prototypes.

Internationally, items subject to the above restrictions, as well as furs and items not permitted for import into the destination country, cannot be accepted.
